The taupe is pictured as gray. Is it more taupe or gray?

Best Answer · The pair I ordered were definitely more brown than gray.

I am usually a nine but have a high instep and wide feet. Should I order a 9 1/2? You can't return & I don't want to be sorry because I can't afford to buy a shoe & let it sit there if it doesn't fit. I usually don't order from places I can't return.

Best Answer · These shoes are adorable, but a bit of a disappointment fit-wise. I almost always wear a 9.5, and have relatively narrow feet. I purchased the 9.5, which were a little tight. I exchanged them for the 10 and found them to fit almost the same way! I would say that you should definitely order the 9.5 if your feet are wider. You may even need the 10! They do stretch a bit once they are broken in, but even a half size up isn't particularly comfortable after a long day on my feet.

      Best of luck!

I actually have very wide feet as well and happen to be very pregnant right now (so my feet are fairly swollen). I am usually an 8, never an 8 1/2 (sometimes a 7 1/2) and the size 8 fit me perfectly! If you usually wear a 9, I would order that size!

I would get a 9 1/2. I'm normally a size 7 but I ordered 7 1/2 and it fits just fine. Perfect with tights and socks for those colder days or just with socks. Hope this helps.

I went up 1/2 size - they felt a little roomy but are very comfortable - walked NYC with no issues! I have fairly wide feet too so I would recommend you go up a half size.

Yes you should go higher. These fit narrow, I have a very narrow foot so I like them.

What color is the buckle/hardware on the tan color?

Best Answer · It's gold...and it is lovely! Gives it an everyday, yet slightly dressy look! Bought Hala in beige and black!

I have a favor to ask but would someone be willing to measure around the ankle part of the boot with a tape measure? My ankles are oddly thin and I am worried that they will look odd/have a big gap if these gorgeous boots are designed with a wide opening.

Best Answer · I would say I have average-sized ankles, and although I loved the way the boots look, I had to return them because they were a little too tight around the ankles and that made them uncomfortable. It seemed like I would get blisters walking around where the front of the opening would rub the front of my ankles. Maybe that means they'd be a good for you!

      Hi!
I measured around the opening at the very top of the boot, and it measures 11". I bought these in size 9 for my daughter (haven't given them to her yet). But I'm sure she will LOVE them. I can tell you that the opening does not look wide at all - actually looks narrow compared to other boots I've seen.
      Hope this helps!

11 1/4" around, but that includes the little pull tab on the back and the zipper. My ankle's 9" and the boot top has a little gap but it's not enough to be a problem.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the taupe and the tan color, I've had a lot of my friends vote but the vote ended up tying, making my decision even harder. What do you think would be best for a put together, simple everyday look?
      · Add Your Answer · Votes 0 0 · Annie M on Dec 14, 2015
Best Answer · Hands down- TAN! For so many reasons:
      1) it's leather, not suede so you can wear it in wet conditions and not worry about totally ruining them.
      2) The color is so rich and amazing.
      3) They look great with a brown belt or brown/neutral outfit/accessories.

      Hope this helps!

Taupe. If you don't have but one to choose. That color brings a whole range of clothing together. I bought the tan because I specifically needed it in a flat, but I also bought the taupe in a different style and find I wear those more often. IMHO

Aim a 9 in us. What's size should I order?
      · Add Your Answer · Votes 0 1 · Bernadette W on Sep 28, 2015
I ordered an 8, which is the size I am in almost all shoes. They were definitely too small and an 8.5 would have been better. Id say go a half size up.
