      What is vegan leather?

Best Answer · Vegan leather does not contain harmful plastics such as poly vinyl chloride (or PVC). Our vegan leather bags are made only with Poly Urethane (or PU). In comparison to PVC, PU is a better material because:
      • Its natural, leather-like texture does not require the solvents (or harmful chemicals) used to soften PVC throughout the manufacturing process.
      • It can be designed to deteriorate after a period of time which is great for the environment where as PVC is not biodegradable.
      • Even though PU is biodegradable, it's still a much more durable, quality material unlike PVC.

It's basically fake leather, or animal friendly alternative to real leather. This one feels like a real leather though, very soft without looking any signs of not being 'real'.

It isn't real leather from an animal hide, however it looks and feels like leather. All the benefits of leather without the animal sacrifice!

Vegan Leather is just another term for faux or artificial leather. Products are made of synthetic materials (without using any animal products) that mimic the 'look and feel' of real leather. These items are marketed as animal-friendly alternatives. I love this clutch...and in my opinion it looks and feels like real leather. ;-)
      Hope this helps.

It's a non leather material that actually has the look and feel of real leather. No animal products are used when making the material, that's why it's called vegan leather.
