Why She's a Sole Sister: Tessa was one of the first to work on DailyCandy.com and prior to SELF, was a Senior Editor of Los Angeles Times Magazine. She has written for The New York Times, InStyle, Lucky, Fashion Wire Daily and more. Tessa spends her time buying shoes, organizing her shoes, and hanging out with her boyfriend and Pug, Sheila (aka Sheils Gabeels)
"Nothing gets between a woman and her shoes. They just go together, like peanut butter and chocolate, Ice cream and a romantic comedy, Khloe and Lamar, me and Sole Society. I'm like a kid in a candy shop when the SS box gets delivered. It's a whole new approach to dressing with endless possibilities!"
Why She's a Sole Sister: Megan O'Brien is the founder of Megsmakeup.com, a beauty site that's not only informative, it's honest! A former model turned beauty guru, she's been on just about every television network chatting about the latest beauty finds.
"My style runs an extreme gamut. Some days I like to dress like a lady who lunches with a pair of classic heels. The next night I'm just as likely to grab a sex kitten with curve hugging LBD. I'll top it off with a pair of sky high stilettos with encrusted rhinestones. I'm all over the map but I know what I like and when I see it I go for it. That's why I love Sole Society. I can be everything all in one week."
Why She's a Sole Sister: Roxy is a fixture at the most exclusive red carpet events both locally and internationally. She's the face of Elle.com's "The Skinny on the Red Carpet", and also writes for PinkMemo.com. She loves animals as much as she loves shoes and when not jet setting around the world, can be found spending time with her husband and adopted rescue dogs.
"I put my SS shoes to the test! First, having to park the car 10 blocks from the restaurant -I thought my feet would be a little ticked off by the time I got to the table. Nada. Then onto the red carpet to cover a movie premiere. For sure my feet would be screaming! Not a chance. I think that Sole Society has found the perfect mix of comfort and sex appeal while being high quality and on-trend. I am a believer!"
Why She's a Sole Sister: Erin found a passion of making note cards and gift labels for friends after having spent many years in the apparel business. Several years (and many home shopping parties later), she now has a flourishing internet retail business (her collections have been featured on Shutterfly and Tiny Prints as well as in Target stores). She lives at the beach with her husband and two kids.
"Heels just don't work for me...too painful! The Sole Society wedges give me more stability and keep me feeling stylish when I'm not wearing my flats at work. Plus, they are perfect for summer giving me several inches that make my legs seem much longer than they are. Sure wish I could wear them with my swimsuit! ha!"
Why She's a Sole Sister: Pamela teaches women everywhere how to shop on a budget as a style correspondent. She's TJ Maxx and Marshall's on-air spokesperson and a contributing accessories columnist for AOL's StyleList.com. A regular on the red carpet, she's interviewed Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen and Kimora Lee. Pamela lives in NY with her husband (who encourages her to indulge in all soles and things that sparkle!).
"It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that heel! I shop for me, my body and my style and when it comes to shoes, I go from bright pumps to 70's inspired trends with stacked heels and interesting cone heels. I also love hidden platforms, so that's always on my shoe agenda for summer time! Oh, also I might do a flat in glamorous metallic with hardware detailing. A girl can never have too many shoes!"
Why She's a Sole Sister: For veteran style blogger and social media pro Dina Fierro, style starts at her feet. An experienced fashion publicist, Dina is a former stylist and market editor and now runs her website www.eye4style.com. Along with a nice platform, wedge or stiletto, Dina feels passionately about French bulldogs, Bisous Ciao's amazing macaroons and Liquiteria's epic green juice.
"I firmly believe in the power of the wardrobe basic, thereby relying on the power of a statement shoe to kick things into high gear stylistically. Sole Society manages the near-impossible - deciphering my style and delivering an impeccably curated closet of picks to me monthly. Shopping couldn't be easier - it's only choosing my favorite style that's a challenge!"
